This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and evolving team, securing quality social care provision for Denbighshire's citizens. This role may suit someone looking to take a new step in their social care career, although individuals with relevant experience in other areas who are looking to move into social care commissioning are encouraged to apply.

The post holder must have a strong affinity with the values of social care, including a non-judgemental attitude and empathy with people who have experienced social care/support needs.

The post holder will work closely with the Adult Social Care and Homelessness Services Care Broker, the other Assistant Care Brokers, the wider Contracts and Commissioning Team (in which the post sits) and other key partners. They will support in negotiating and securing appropriate packages of domiciliary care for individual citizens and identifying appropriate residential care options for individual citizens - in both cases, in line with individual needs and wishes as specified by appropriate social care/health professionals.

The post holder will require strong organisational and communication skills. Building relationships, with effective and open communication with care providers in particular is vital to the role.
