Job Description

We have an Assistant catering Manager/cook position available to join our team.

We have a wonderful opportunity available for an aspiring hospitality member. This is a hands-on role within our busy catering department.

We are looking to build on our highly regarded team offering exceptionally high-quality food while delivering professional and friendly service to our broad customer base.

Our clients range from school groups, development, and management training programmes and events.

We provide catering for both residential staff and customers which can be up to 450 guests per day.

Our aim is to provide well-balanced healthy meals using fresh local produce where possible and to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation paying attention to special diets and allergens and intolerances.

Main duties will include;

Assisting the catering manager and head chef in the smooth running of the catering department.
Food preparation including sandwiches, light meals & salads

Cooking of breakfast, lunch and dinners

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinners to customers and colleagues

General kitchen duties to include, washing up & cleaning duties.

Responsible for the cooking and presentation of daily menus.

Assisting the Catering Manager and Supervisors in the smooth running of the kitchen, being a team player, monitoring stock control, maintaining health and hygiene regulations.

Seasonal contract March to October.

Weekend availability in rotation

Hours: 30 - 40 hours approx per week split shifts along with an occasional straight shift

Breakfast shift 6.30 am to 11 am

Dinner shift 3 pm to 7.30 pm

Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative and deliver quality work Enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge Excellent communication with your team and other departments Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends depending on business needs. Applicants must have:



A positive attitude and ready to be part of a great team Relevant hospitality qualifications Level 2 or 3 food hygiene certificate An enhanced DBS check (We will help with this)
