Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality control throughout all stages of preparation Support in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Contribute to menu planning and development alongside the head chef Serve food to guests when required, providing excellent customer service and hospitality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, including cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a professional kitchen Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn and grow within the industry
