Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Help in the planning and execution of menus, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Skills
Proven experience in a restaurant or similar food production environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
