Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Coach to join our coaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating and developing athletes. This role is crucial in supporting the head coach in implementing training programmes, fostering teamwork, and enhancing the overall performance of our athletes.

Responsibilities

Assist the head coach in planning and executing training sessions tailored to the needs of the team. Educate athletes on techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport to improve their skills and understanding. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to athletes during practices and competitions. Help organise team events, including matches, tournaments, and training camps. Monitor athlete progress and maintain records of performance metrics. Foster a positive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, respect, and camaraderie among players. Collaborate with other coaching staff to develop comprehensive training plans that align with team goals.

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong understanding of game strategies and techniques. Excellent communication skills, capable of educating athletes effectively. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals and teams. Ability to analyse performance data and provide actionable insights for improvement. A positive attitude with a passion for developing young talent in a supportive environment. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively during training sessions and events.
