Job Summary

Zoar is a 30 bed care home situated in Clydach Vale, Tonypandy. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team. Good nutrition is vital for the health and wellbeing of our residents, the food you produce will play an important role in enriching their lives, physically , mentally and emotionally.

Hours are 7am to 3:30pm, or 11am to 7pm 5 days per week worked between Monday and Sunday.

Duties

Prepare nutritious and tasty meals following prepared menus. work closely with the care team to understand the residents ensuring that specific dietary needs are met. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained. Help with plating and presenting dishes to be appealing to our residents.. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with and organise kitchen assistants to ensure efficient service and maintain high standards of hygiene.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home kitchen is preferred but not essential. Minimum level 2 Food Hygiene. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. A passion for cooking alongside a compassionate and caring nature.. Supervisory experience would be an advantage..

Pay: 12.60 per hour
