Assistant Customer Service Manager

to work out of our depot in

Tipton, West Midlands.

Job Role & Purpose



You will be responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service. You will assist to manage and oversee all external customer complaints and queries, ensuring they are dealt with in a professional manner, with efficiency and effectiveness, to minimise business risk and to promote the Company brand.

Duties



Assist in the management and nurturing of a professional working environment, driven to promptly and effectively resolving customer queries and complaints, to promote customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Assist to manage and oversee the maintenance and control of key customer accounts. Ensure the smooth management of delivery coordination and, where possible, proactively resolve issues regarding logistics, such as proactively advising customers of changes to ETAs etc. Ensure that customer queries and complaints are fully investigated and, where possible, resolved, by your team, prior to any handover to another department. Be the custodian of customer service excellence, with regular auditing and analysis of customer service performance within the department and across the business. Help the Customer Service Manager to manage the drive for continual business improvement, by measuring customer satisfaction and service improvements, such as time efficiencies and a decrease in other financial costs. Provide various reports/spreadsheets as required for internal departments and, where required, to customers in a timely manner. Help to develop and implement customer service policies and processes, to ensure minimise business risk and to promote the Company brand. Cover for the Customer Service Manager in their absence. To complete any other reasonable duties as instructed by the management team.

ervisory Responsibilities:



Assist with coaching, mentoring and developing staff including overseeing new starters. Provide oversight and direction to your team. Help to lead staff using a performance management and development process including objective setting, feedback and identifying training & development needs. Receive complaints and resolve problems. Aid with the responsibility for managing and recording attendance including timekeeping, sickness absence and annual leave. Ensure security of all personal or sensitive company data at all times.

14.23 (40hrs per week)

20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total) Additional Holiday after 4 years' service - Extra Day for every additional year's service up to a maximum of 5 extra days. Full uniform and PPE provided. Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme

Pay: 14.23 per hour
