Assistant Deck Engineer, Q7000

Helix Energy Solutions is an international offshore energy services company providing specialist services to the offshore energy industry with a focus on Well Intervention and Robotics Operations.



Helix Offshore Crewing Services Ltd (part of the Helix Energy Solutions Group) currently has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Deck Engineer to join our team on our vessel Q7000, to work in Brazil on a 4/4 rotation.



The Assistant Deck Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting with maintenance of the hydraulic equipment pertaining to heavy cranes, multi-purpose tower, deck hydraulics and drilling and subsea equipment.



Key Responsibilities:



Be conversant with hydraulic plant on the unit. Be familiar with the machinery and systems so that in an emergency situation essential services can be safely and speedily restored Understand and comply with company policies and be conversant with the relevant codes of practice. Assist with survey work as directed by the Chief Engineer. Ensure that information entered in tot the maintenance records is accurate.


Mandatory Entry Level Requirements:



Engineering Officer of the Watch (unlimited) STCW A-III/1 STCW Basic Safety Training Proficiency in Security Awareness OPITO Survival ENG1 Medical OGUK Medical or equivalent
