iCare Lab is a newly established, fully equipped dental laboratory launched by the team behind iCare Dental Ltd, renowned for high-quality dental care across London. Situated in the modern F1 Building, our lab is built to support the growing needs of dental practices by producing precision-engineered appliances using up-to-date materials and digital technologies.

The Role



We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Assistant Dental Lab Technician

to join our expanding team. This role is well suited to a junior technician looking to develop their skills within a modern, digital-focused laboratory environment. You will work under the supervision of senior technicians and contribute to the production of custom dental appliances while gaining experience across a range of laboratory disciplines.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in the fabrication of custom dental appliances, including crowns, bridges, dentures, splints, and orthodontic devices Support senior technicians in interpreting dental prescriptions, models, and digital scans Work with digital technologies such as 3D printers, CAD/CAM workflows, and digital impression systems (training provided where necessary) Help maintain accurate records in line with MHRA, GDC, and Medical Device Regulation (MDR) requirements for custom-made devices Support day-to-day laboratory organisation, including model preparation, trimming, and general production tasks Contribute to maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with quality standards Assist in improving laboratory workflow processes as the operation grows

Requirements



Recognised qualification or ongoing training in Dental Technology (e.g., BTEC, Foundation Degree, or equivalent) Strong interest in digital dental technologies and willingness to learn CAD/CAM systems Good manual dexterity with strong attention to detail Reliable, organised, and able to follow technical instructions A proactive approach with the ability to work as part of a small, developing team Understanding of GDC and MHRA requirements for dental laboratories is desirable (training will be provided)

Desirable



Some experience working within a dental lab environment Basic familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Exocad or 3Shape Exposure to 3D printing or digital workflow processes
