Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Deputy Manager/SENCO to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall management of our educational environment, ensuring that high standards of care and education are maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong background in early childhood education, special education, or related fields. You will work closely with staff, children, and families to foster a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere.

Duties

Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with educational standards. Support the development and implementation of educational programmes tailored to the needs of children. Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions among children. Provide mentorship and guidance to staff, fostering professional development and teamwork. Conduct assessments and evaluations of children's progress, using applied behaviour analysis techniques when necessary. Facilitate communication with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise. Participate in teaching activities as needed, including speech therapy, tutoring, and physical education. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's progress and program effectiveness. Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, special education practices, and behaviour management techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, staff and Ability to proofread documentation accurately and maintain detailed records. Full and relevant level 3 or above qualification A SENCO qualification or willing to work towards.

Pay: 29,000.00-31,000.00 per year
