, we are seeking an inspirational leader to shape and grow our sport, leisure and cultural offer ensuring it evolves in step with the district's bold and exciting future.

About the Role

As Assistant Director, you'll lead a diverse portfolio including libraries, theatres, museums, galleries, sports facilities, bereavement services, and markets. You'll be part of the Environment Department's leadership team, driving regeneration, inclusion, and excellence across the district. Your work will directly impact the lives of Bradford's residents, enhancing wellbeing, participation, and cultural pride.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a visionary leader with:A strong track record in strategic leadership and service transformation. Experience in managing complex budgets and delivering high-impact projects. A passion for culture, sport and leisure, and a commitment to inclusion and community engagement. The ability to build effective partnerships and influence at local, regional and national levels.
