About this role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and visionary leader to join our newly formed Transformation and Improvement Service as Assistant Director for Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity.
You will provide strategic leadership to embed equity, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of the University's transformation agenda. This means driving ambitious cultural and organisational change that champions anti-racism, inclusive leadership, and equitable practices. You will ensure that our people, processes and structures actively foster belonging, accessibility and fairness, creating an environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone can thrive. Your work will influence policy, practice and culture at every level, aligning EDI outcomes with the University's strategic goals and delivering measurable, sustainable impact.
You will shape and deliver our ambitious Anti-Racism strategy that aligns with the University's mission, creating sustainable change that enhances organisational effectiveness and supports a positive, inclusive culture for all staff and students.
About you
You will be a dynamic and collaborative leader with a proven track record of delivering impactful EDI strategies and cultural transformation. You should have experience influencing senior leadership teams and developing innovative, evidence-based solutions that advance equity and inclusion. You'll demonstrate UWE Values, leading by example with a commitment to anti-racism, accessibility, and service excellence.
