The Assistant Director Sales Manager will be responsible in conjunction with DOSM for the day-to-day management of the sales team and maximising the sales potential and marketing strategy of the hotel.

Your Job:


In conjunction with DOSM, plan and direct day-to-day operation of the sales & marketing function in the hotels to ensure maximum revenue & profitability and provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service. In conjunction with the DOSM coach & develop the sales & marketing team to drive revenues across all segments. Perform day to day sales activity in the hotel including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips. Represent the hotel at sales team meetings and other events as appropriate.



Conference




Focus on driving meeting & conference business for the hotel. Develop and nurture client relationships for the hotel within the conference segment nationally and internationally. Work with the Group Business Development Manager to develop a pipeline of Local, National and International conference demand through calls to Agencies and Companies directly. Participate in initiatives and activities, representing the hotel at organised events and raising the profile of the business locally. Drive meeting room sales from local companies, targeting training companies, state bodies, and develop strategic relationships with the event bookers & agents.



Corporate




Develop and nurture relationships for the hotel with key national & global clients through ongoing account management. Strategic approach for key segments of local & global corporate accounts to examine the hotels positioning and suitability to client needs. Undertake monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts in the hotel to monitor production and more importantly to identify any decreases and taking necessary action to remedy same. In conjunction with DOSM identification and management of agreed Corporate and Consortia RFP's with volume for city, ensuring maximum inclusion for the hotel. Analysis of GDS production reports & intelligence information to develop this business channel for the hotel. Input to the hotel pricing strategy and forecasting with DOSM, General Manager and Revenue Manager. Utilisation of Alkimii CRM for updating client databases, logging all sales activity & measurement of KPI's Identify key competitors and, in conjunction with the hotel team, carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity. Be fully aware of the main market developments and other factors that would influence business or create favourable market conditions for the hotel.



Marketing




In conjunction with DOSM, write quarterly activity plans to create focus for the hotel team and adapt activities to support business needs. Management of the annual marketing budget in conjunction with the DOSM. In conjunction with the hotel teams, manage online marketing & brand website through content development and continually driving customers direct to this sale channel. Manage hotel advertising & promotional campaigns in conjunction with the DOSM. Protect and promote the image of the Dalata Hotel Group brands at all times.



What You Will Need:




Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a similar position Previous experience within hotels or a customer service environment Excellent organisation and planning skills Effective communicator Strong leadership skills Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills, be able to understand key business indicators and competitive trends. Sales focused and results driven
