Future Drilling Services is seeking a motivated and hard-working

Assistant Driller

to join our geothermal drilling team. In this role, you will support the Lead Driller in operating and maintaining rigs, handling drilling equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient site operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in drilling or large machinery, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in outdoor, physically demanding environments.

The role of an Assistant Driller:

Assisting in geothermal and water borehole installations Ability to plan and manage own work Problem-solving Report to the lead driller Operation of various site plant Understanding and carrying out specific instructions General site labouring duties Carry out routine maintenance of plant and equipment Accept and complete relevant training requirements

Skills, Competencies and Experience:

Relevant experience in a similar role in the industry is desirable but not essential Full Clean UK Driving Licence - Essential Must own a car to get to our depot near Brough Ability to pass DBS check and random drug testing NVQ Land Drilling Level 2 - Desirable but not essential (Can be earned on the job) CSCS card - Desirable Telehandler experience - Desirable but not essential Plant Experience Organised and motivated First Aid Training - Desirable but not essential Health & Safety experience and licence - Desireable but not essential.

Salary:

39,000 +

performance based bonuses (Subject to completion of probation period)

50-hour contract which includes travel to site from our depot - Overtime paid at time and a quarter.

Benefits:

Ongoing training, plant operator qualifications etc . . . Performance based bonuses 40 subsidies paid per night for working away Accommodation paid for

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - usually working away

Weekend work is optional on increased overtime rate.
