Contract Type: Full time, 37 hours per week, Temporary Assistant Educational Psychologist fixed term until end of August 2024

The Educational Psychology Service at Doncaster Council has its own vision and values that are embedded in everything we do. You will find a team of professionals committed to advocating for children and young people and working closely with families and other agencies.

Our Assistant Educational Psychologists have an important role in supporting our qualified Educational Psychologists in applying and delivering psychology to our partners, schools and provider settings in their work to promote the best possible learning and life outcomes for all children and young people in the Borough. You will be part of a service and wider directorate team who are outcome focused and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.

This is an influential role, embedded within the school improvement and inclusion strategies, and focused on the application and development of psychology in support of teaching and learning across a broad range of need and provision. In this role you will be part of an energetic team that is wanting to improve and further develop their ways of working. Our current service delivery model is focused on Pyramid Planning Meetings, a new multiagency consultation-based way of working. You will engage with schools, settings, health partners and the Children\xe2\x80\x99s Services Trust to support and secure high quality solution-focused assessment, planning and delivery of outcomes-based programmes to promote excellent outcomes for children and young people in Doncaster.

As an Assistant Educational Psychologist in our team, you will be required to work in the office or within settings for at least 3 days per week. Planning and write up time can be completed flexibly, at home or in the office, you will be provided with technology devices that will allow you to work remotely and you will work within a large, friendly and supportive team that cherishes diversity and will value your experience and interests.
