Assistant Manager - Empty Homes Team



We're thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Empty Homes team as an Assistant Manager on a 6-month fixed-term basis.


In this role, you'll lead and support teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on empty properties, driving performance and productivity within a culture of continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to use your experience to contribute to meaningful work that improves homes and communities


Working a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, we value flexibility, and occasional overtime may be required to meet business needs


A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.



Key responsibilities will include:



Support teams to complete work first time and on schedule.


Plan efficient work sequences for empty property teams.


Champion a Value for Money approach across all operations.


Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety legislation and standards.


Promote a culture of continuous improvement.


Drive performance and ensure targets are met.


Provide effective on-site management and technical support.


Conduct building inspections, including outbuildings and gardens.


Follow specifications set by specialist surveyors.


Oversee and manage subcontractors to meet deadlines.


Coordinate asbestos testing and site management.


Liaise with Local Housing Management to ensure timely property allocation.


Manage utility and energy supply coordination.


Supervise compliance trades.


What We're Looking For



A full UK driving licence.


Recent experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.


Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.


Excellent communication across teams and departments.


Ability to refer to and collaborate with specialist services.


A commitment to customer care.


Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
