As an Assistant Engineer in our Mechanical team, you'll play a crucial role at the Dynamic First Hydro Power Station in ensuring the safe operation, integrity, and performance of both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog assets. What you will do


Deliver plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects within assigned budgets Plan and manage resources, including contractors, to meet business objectives Assist in the assessment, selection, and management of contracts Provide expert advice within your plant area specialism to develop innovative - solutions Implement initiatives to improve quality, environmental, health, and safety management Support the Engineering Discipline Head in asset management and risk assessment Investigate and solve plant-level problems to enhance performance Contribute to a positive team environment and collaborate across departments



What you will bring to the role


Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience IOSH Managing Safely certification Experience in engineering environments, particularly in the energy sector Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety legislation relevant to mechanical engineering Ability to identify and diagnose technical problems with support from line manager Strong project management and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Innovative thinker with a passion for sustainable energy solutions

Dinorwig, Llanberis



This position requires on-site presence to effectively manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects and plant operations.
