Position Overview



The Assistant Executive Head Housekeeper supports the Executive Head Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, while leading and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities



Operational Management



Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and storerooms. Monitor daily cleaning schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks to brand and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public spaces, and staff areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards. Assist in managing inventory levels for linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, ensuring proper stock rotation and cost control.

Team Leadership



Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping supervisors, housekeeper, and other team members. Support in preparing staff schedules, managing attendance, and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts. Lead by example, maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and professionalism. Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes as needed.

Guest Service



Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, or complaints related to housekeeping services. Ensure special guest requests (e.g., VIP setups, amenities) are met consistently. Coordinate with the Reception and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure all staff comply with safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures. Monitor adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and brand standards. Assist in implementing and maintaining housekeeping SOPs and training programs.

Qualifications & Skills



Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or resort environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team. Good organizational and time-management abilities. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety regulations. Proficiency in housekeeping software and basic Microsoft Office applications. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Physical Requirements



Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights for extended periods. Comfortable with physically demanding work and moving between different work areas.
