About the role:



As a Digital Resilience and Exploitation Worker, you will

support individuals affected by online abuse and exploitation.

You'll help

build their digital resilience

, advocate for their safety, and work with other professionals and organisations to reduce harm. This unique role aims to

reduce the serious and complex risks

faced by young people and adults - including sexual and criminal exploitation, county lines, and harm through social media. With a particular

focus on social media exploitation,

the role suits someone

experienced in promoting digital wellbeing and online safety.



Key Responsibilities:



Case Management

- Working with teams supporting individuals who have experienced, or are at risk of, exploitation by providing ongoing support and guidance.

Assessment and Planning

- Leading assessments and developing safety plans, collaborating with other agencies to meet individual needs.

Intervention and Support

- Delivering education, advice, and guidance--including harm reduction strategies and structured interventions--to individuals and groups.

Collaboration

- Working closely with schools, care homes, adult services, and practitioner groups to provide training and consultation that supports those at risk.

Training and Awareness

- Providing training and awareness sessions for professionals on digital resilience and exploitation.

About you:



JNC or youth justice level 3 qualified or equivalent or similar - (Essential) Driving licence and access to a vehicle. Travel when required - (Essential) To be social media literate and have a strong working knowledge of the associated risks online - (Essential) Proficient with IT systems and recording information accurately. Experience of working with young people, working in a statutory or voluntary agency, Social Care, Youth Work with Adolescents or Youth Offending. - (Essential) Detailed knowledge of child protection and safeguarding processes and services. - (Essential) Adaptable to short term and long-term change relating to services. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Able to work automatously, independently and closely as a team when needed. Experience of case work, risk management and inter-agency working an awareness of issues relating to communities from different racial and cultural backgrounds and equal opportunities and up to date working knowledge of relevant legislation relating to young people.


Due to the nature of the role, it is necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken (DBS).
