Assistant Farm Manager

Job Description


We are seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to join a family farming operation. The Assistant Farm Manager will work closely with the Farm Manager on a 2500ac farm growing Root Crops and cereals.Key Responsibilities

  • Operating tractors and other agricultural machinery for ploughing, planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
  • Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assisting with general farm work as needed, including transporting materials and preparing fields
  • Experience with Gatekeeper and Excel would be ideal
  • Organising a small regular team
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of agricultural processes and equipment maintenance
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • PA1 / PA2 or BASIS would be desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full driving license
