Assistant Finance Business Partner / Technical Accountancy Assistant Job description
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to an Assistant Finance Business Partner post. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our Management Accounting Team that supports the Councils' services. The council is pursuing an exciting transformation agenda to better meet the needs and improve the lives of our residents, local businesses and visitors: so it is a great time to join the Council. Finance plays a partner role to the service, driving decisions that enable and improve performance.
About you:
We are seeking applicants who are AAT qualified (or currently studying at Level 4) or equivalent. Applicants must be able to work at pace, and use finance systems proficiently. Excellent communication skills must be demonstrated and confidence to liaise with a broad range of non-finance stakeholders. There will be a test on the day of the interview using Microsoft Excel. The role is based in County Hall, Llandrindod Wells however the Council supports agile working which includes flexible working at home and at local offices.
What you will do:

  • Budgeting and accounting background with analytical approach
  • Excellent oral, written, presentational and communication and negotiation skills at all levels
  • Ability to relate to and win the confidence, trust and respect of customers.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively ensuring deadlines and targets are
achieved alongside delivering on a diverse workload
  • Excellent ICT Skills
  • Ability to extract, collate, challenge and interpret financial and non-financial
information.
