Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager (with career progression to Finance Manager)
Location: Sandwich, Kent
Salary: Up to \xc2\xa345,000 per annum

They are now seeking an ambitious and skilled Assistant Finance Manager to join their dynamic team.

As the Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of accounting tasks, providing accurate and timely financial information, as well as fostering strong working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Collaborating with the Finance Manager to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Conducting regular audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Providing support in financial forecasting, cost analysis, and cash flow management activities.
• Monitoring and reporting on company expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
• Supporting the Finance Manager in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

• Part qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with a strong background in finance or accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Previous experience within the construction industry is required
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Career Progression:
This role will provide the successful candidate with an outstanding opportunity to progress their career to Finance Manager within a timeframe of 2-3 years, subject to performance and suitability.
