We're looking for an engaging and charismatic Assistant Front Office Manager to be the face of the Hard Day's Night Hotel in Liverpool - the world's only Beatles-inspired hotel! We're seeking a proficient 'Reception Manager calibre' candidate to support in leading our team of professional front office colleagues to deliver the best possible experience with charisma and flair. As Assistant Front Office Manager, you'll deliver on managing all aspects of the front office (for example guest registration, check out, porter services, & concierge "Any Time at All!"). You'll support and encourage them to create a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home - regardless of where they have travelled from in the world!

As our Assistant Front Office Manager, your main duties will include:

Providing both strategic and 'hands-on' support to the reception, concierge and Guest Relations teams to deliver a guest experience that is unique and truly brings the hotel theme to life Supporting the Front Office & Sales Manager to monitor budget and control labour costs and expenses, predominantly by managing day-to-day staffing requirements Identifying training needs, overseeing the training and development of the Front Office Team - ensuring effective on / off job training is completed. Providing ongoing mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to existing colleagues, managing conflicts and consciously working to improve all team members performance. Carrying out Duty Manager shifts as required by the needs of the business, and having sufficient working knowledge to be able to deputise in the absence of the Front Office & Sales Manager

The ideal candidate will have

:

Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a senior Reception position i.e. Senior Supervisor or Assistant Manager, with working knowledge of all hotel operations

Attentive, professional customer service skills

Confidence, professionalism and engaging personality

Experience of using Opera CLOUD software (knowledge of MICROS POS software would be advantageous)

About the Hotel


Housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Buildings, dating back to 1884, the beautifully restored boutique hotel is steeped in history. The Beatles-inspired hotel features elegantly furnished and individually decorated rooms with specially commissioned artwork.

The hotel has one restaurant (North64), two bars serving light bites and a wide range of drinks, along with hosting some of the city's top acoustic musicians every Friday and Saturday night. In addition, the hotel boasts 3 meeting and event suites catering for up to 180 guests, all offering 'Beatles inspired' iconic photographs of the Fab Four and the latest in audio-visual equipment, creating a playful environment for any event!
