We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our well established team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and maintaining a positive work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye to detail, and day to day management. Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager in managing day-to-day operations of the establishment.
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and bartenders, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
Oversee food production and preparation processes to maintain high-quality standards.
Working together with the team to streamline processes and ensure everyone is working collaboratively
Train and mentor team members in food/drinks preparation techniques and customer service excellence.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Monitoring GDP and cash handling
Dealing with bookings
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar hotel or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Bar trained.
Understanding of associated admin activities.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
