ITV's hit TV show Ninja Warrior UK has been on our screens since 2015, with Tim Champion finally crowned the UK's first winner in 2019 scaling the top of Mount Midoriama against tough opposition from across the world!

PLG have partnered with ITV to create a Ninja Warrior UK activity and fitness venue in Guildford which is geared to appeal to a wide age and ability range. As well as the Ninja activities there is also a cafe plus a soft play area for mini-Ninjas so that all members of the family can have fun in our centre.

Our venues are fun, safe, clean and inclusive - enabling all participants to create their own Ninja Warrior UK journeys!

The Role

Prime Leisure Group have partnered with ITV to create a Ninja Warrior UK activity and fitness venue in Guildford. Ninja Warrior in Guildford combines fun and challenging activities with a cafe and a soft play area for mini- Ninjas. Our Ninja Warrior centre is a destination for the whole family

We are looking for an individual with an interest in the Leisure Entertainment Industry to work as Assistant General Manager.

As Assistant General Manager, you will assist the General Manager in all areas of the business operation. To assist in the planning, operation and development of the business and to ensure all company values and guidelines are followed.

Key Responsibilities



Assisting the General Manager in managing the business ensuring high quality service and profitability for the centre

Assisting the General Manager in supporting and coaching the management team

To ensure that all Duty Managers, Assistant Managers and supervisors in all areas are carrying out their duties in an efficient and organised fashion

Providing leadership to the team and develop all team members with company service standards

To act as Duty Manager

To take an active role in dealing with and following up on all complaints in a timely and efficient manner

Managing the planning, organising and promoting special events

Ensuing all Food, Health and Safety standards are followed

Budgeting, Payroll and Financial Control

Understanding of the business trends and future opportunities and challenges

Demonstrate good understanding of the P&L

Working as a team member in harmony with all other employees.

Oversee daily operations of the centre

Managing the recruitment and induction of the new hires into the team

To ensure that all the staff receive and comply with relevant training

Attendance at Management/ Finance/Marketing/ HR meetings when required

Deal with team member performance issues and escalate where appropriate

To oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the centre with the General Manager

Skills



Management experience in hospitality, retail or leisure industry

The ability to lead, challenge, develop and support a team with customer service focus

Excellent organisation and time management skills with an eye for detail and ability to use own initiative

Be able to work well under pressure

'Can do' attitude

Customer focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Strong financial awareness

Ability to coach and develop others

Ability to maximise all sales opportunities

Food safety and/or First Aid certificate would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Ability to manage, monitor product quality and service trends

Ability to assist in monitoring inventory and stock takes
