We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team in a vibrant community pub. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a focus on food preparation and service. This role involves supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing all aspects of food and beverage operations, including food production, service, and guest satisfaction. Supervise staff and ensure adherence to food safety regulations and best practices. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high culinary standards. Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas. Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills to interact positively with both staff and customers. A passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
