Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, with experience in food preparation an added bonus. This role involves supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service quality, and maintaining high standards of food safety and production. The Assistant General Manager will play a leading role in organising and working with the team, fostering a positive work environment.

Duties

Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision and training. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Manage inventory levels and coordinate food production to meet customer demand. Provide leadership and support to kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management. Foster a positive dining experience for guests through exceptional service and hospitality. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service. Collaborate with the management team to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training opportunities.
Experience:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both staff and customers. A passion for delivering outstanding service within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 13.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
