As an Assistant Manager you'll be responsible for management of the residents alongside the General Manager, ensuring a safe, engaging place to live as well as working towards set KPIs to ensure levels of occupancy for the building. As with all the members of our residence teams, our Assistant Managers are responsible for delivering excellent service to our residents.

Key responsibilities:



Working closely with the General Manager to motivate and support your team Support the General Manager and wider operational team in the planning and forecasting on the occupancy and revenue generation. Managing the organisation of internal and external events for prospective and current residents. Induct new employees to their roles and be a point of escalation for employees dealing with enquiries about health & safety, building maintenance, invoicing, rent collection and sales. Manage the process for responding to enquiries, undertaking viewings with potential residents and completing follow ups. Responsible for compiling reports and managing administrative processes within the building ensure resident data held is up to date and managed within GDPR guidelines. Responsible for administering the process of receiving payments, including managing and chasing rent arrears. To assist the General Manager with effectively scheduling necessary PPM works in line with the demands of the business and within budgeted costs. Work closely with all departments to ensure excellent communication amongst all areas; be proactive and willing to assist other departments when the business requires. Have a desire and ability to improve your own knowledge and abilities through on-going training, and undertake all mandatory online trainings as required (e.g. fire aid, health and safety, GDPR) Work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries Deputise for the General Manager in their absence
Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are many ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year - the JD is not exhaustive.

The nature of the role means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc). Travel may be required.

Essential



A good command of written and spoken English Eligible to work in the UK Proven Experience of Leading and Motivating larger teams

Preferred



IT literacy - intermediate user knowledge of Microsoft Office (including outlook) and experience using internet portals. Knowledge of ANUK code of standards Knowledge of the local PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) market
