We are a small family run pub seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service front of house and behind the bar. This role involves supporting the management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and fostering a positive work atmosphere for staff.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and food items to customers, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and restaurant areas.
Supervise and train junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Maintain inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to enhance guest experiences.
Assist in the planning and execution of special events or promotions at the bar.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Assist in managing daily operations of the establishment, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Supervise and train staff, including bartenders and kitchen personnel, to maintain high standards of hospitality.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Support the recruitment, training, and development of team members to foster a skilled workforce.
Assist in financial management tasks, including budgeting and cost control measures.
Experience & Requirements
Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is essential; experience in hotels or culinary roles is advantageous.
Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
A background in hospitality with excellent customer service skills is crucial for success in this role.
