We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and restaurant management, with a passion for culinary excellence and team leadership. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and restaurant, while also providing exceptional service to our guests.

Duties

Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant and kitchen. Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation, adhering to culinary guidelines. Head up bar operations, and over see jobs such as line cleans, stock counts etc. Implement training programs for new hires, focusing on food safety and preparation techniques. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items that align with current trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques. Excellent team management abilities, capable of leading and motivating staff effectively. Exceptional leadership qualities, fostering a positive work environment. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to help resolve issues as they arise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
