Overview:
The Assistant?Golf?Instructor is an ambassador of world class coaching and La?Grande?Mare's distinctive service culture. You will support the Director?of?Instruction in delivering engaging programmes, innovative club fitting, and unforgettable learning experiences for golfers of all ages and abilities. Your passion for the game, commitment to continuous improvement, and ability to surprise and delight will help us redefine excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver extraordinary instruction
Assist, lead, and co design private lessons, on course sessions, and group clinics that inspire confidence and enjoyment.
Integrate modern ball flight principles, performance analysis technology, and design bespoke practice plans to elevate every student's experience.
Provide real time, positive feedback that turns incremental progress into memorable achievements.
2. Champion growth & development
Mentor junior golfers through camps, squads, and academy pathways, modelling a growth mindset and love of the game.
Support club fitting services that match equipment precisely to individual needs, maximising performance and satisfaction.
Pursue personal professional development - including PGA training - and share fresh insights with the wider team.
3. Responsible stewardship & safety
Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusion standards always, ensuring a welcoming environment for every participant.
Care for practice areas, teaching studios and eco sensitive course spaces, reflecting our respect for Guernsey's natural beauty.
4. Connection & community
Actively participate in team huddles, club events and staff socials, sharing ideas that enhance member experiences.
Join employee led committees (sustainability, innovation, DEI) and take ownership of initiatives that drive continuous improvement.

5. Operational excellence
Manage lesson bookings, correspondence, and payments using our club management systems.
Maintain teaching equipment, technology, and supplies to premium standards.
Ensure a client- first approach at every touchpoint to elevate experience across the team.
Qualifications & experience
Prior experience teaching golf in a club or academy environment.
Working towards - or enthusiasm to begin - PGA membership.
Confident communicator able to tailor style to beginners, juniors through to elite players.
Proficient with Trackman and video analysis technology, or keen to learn.
Safeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain promptly).
Availability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Physical requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and demonstrate golf technique for extended periods in all weather.
Capability to lift/carry golf bags and teaching equipment (up to 23?kg/50?lb).
Compensation & benefits summary
Salary band 25k-30k + lesson/club fitting commissions.
