Assistant

Grower Manager

to join the team. The individual will be joining a very stable and successful family business with a rich heritage built over 4 generations of growing.

The successful candidate will be a passionate, Grower with a good amount of experience and knowledge, having worked with relevant crops and has experience supervising teams. Relevant qualifications are necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for one of the key sites within the business by:

Determining and delivering nutrient and irrigation regime Controlling pests by implementing Integrated Pest Management Strategy (IPM) Controlling environmental conditions by regulating humidity, ventilation, and temperature
Work as part of a team to ensure excellent plant health

Support Grower manager by coaching and guiding the team through effective crop walking and action planning

Maintain records of crop activities and observations, including pesticide applications and growth records and overseeing team compliance in this area

Working with the grower manager on key projects.

Working pattern

Standard hours are 40 hours (07:00 - 17:00) per week with additional working during peak season, Feb-June

Weekend work on a rota basis

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 29,000.00-35,000.00 per year
