Duties

Provide a range of hair services including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client needs. Conduct consultations with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles and treatments. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised. Assist with store management tasks, including inventory management and product displays. Offer additional services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application as required. Upsell salon products and services to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales. Mentor junior stylists or apprentices, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their professional development. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients and addressing any concerns promptly. Handle front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing payments.

Skills

Proficient in barbering techniques alongside traditional hair styling skills. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively. Excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly and listen actively to client needs. Experience in upselling products and services within a salon environment is advantageous. Ability to mentor others, providing guidance and support to less experienced team members. Knowledge of eyelash extension application techniques is desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with makeup application techniques is beneficial for offering comprehensive beauty services. Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
