42.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (07:45-17:15) + 2 Saturdays per month (with days off in lieu)

Assistant Head Dental Nurse

to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance for a variety of treatments including general, cosmetic, implant, and surgical procedures Prepare and maintain clinical areas, instruments, and materials Ensure compliance with infection control and cross-contamination protocols Assist with digital workflows (scanning, photography) where trained Keep clinical records accurate and up to date Support and mentor junior dental nurses under the guidance of the Head Nurse Collaborate closely with the wider clinical and reception teams to ensure excellent patient care Occasionally support sister practices within the Direct Dental Group

Requirements

Essential:

GDC-registered Dental Nurse Minimum 3 years' experience in dental nursing (private practice preferred) Confident assisting with a wide range of dental treatments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organised, reliable, and able to multitask

Desirable:

Additional qualifications (Radiography, Sedation - SAAD, Intraoral Scanning) Experience with clinical photography or Treatment Coordination (TCO) Comfortable with digital dental systems and paperless workflows
