Supervisor Salary: 28,946 - 31,732 pro rata (32,146 - 35,240 FTE)



Hours:

37.5 Hours a week Monday - Friday 8.15-16.15

Responsible for:



Take a lead in the pastoral provision and academic overview for students within the House so that they are supported to

'enjoy, respect and achieve', by ensuring they feel safe and nurtured in school. To promote positive attitudes from students and families towards education so that students benefit fully from the opportunities available to them. Be able to generate a sense of belonging within the house and support competitions and events to broaden the enrichment activities available to our students.

Promote high attendance & other positive behaviours for learning and build good relationships with students and parents through effective communication. To work with identified vulnerable students and those who experience barriers to their learning to support and provide intervention strategies, including sourcing external support where appropriate. To monitor the performance of students whether academic, attendance or social, and intervene to support high expectations and outcomes for all. To apply school policies consistently and where necessary, firmly, particularly those relating to behaviour, attendance and school uniform.

Responsibilities:



Duty Manager. ARC. Attendance. Pastoral Interventions. Student investigations. Library. Attendance at the daily Pastoral Huddles.

Key to this role is a passion for providing excellent pastoral care for students and in working with families to ensure students are well supported to achieve well in school. A keen desire to make a difference and a belief that a good school can and does make a significant difference to students' life chances and achievement, including the wider skills needed in life.

You will:



have experience of pastoral leadership have up to date knowledge of developments in pastoral care and progress achievement in Education, particularly for lower years be skilled in developing effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
