Due to career progression of our existing postholder, we are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Head to oversee and lead the pastoral provision in our Independent Special School. All of our students have an EHCP, with social, emotional and mental health needs. The successful applicant will therefore have a deep appreciation of the challenges these students face - being flexible and adaptable in their approach.

With specific responsibilities round access, inclusion, attendance and behaviour, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a positive impact in these core areas.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Head focusing on Pastoral Care and Inclusion. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the overall well-being of our students, ensuring that they feel safe, supported, and included within the school community.

Skills and Qualifications:Minimum Bachelor Degree in Education or related field At least 2 years of relevant experience in pastoral care or inclusion roles within an educational setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
