About the role
The role involves:
leading a KS2 class (leadership release will be given for SENDCO role)
the planning and teaching of the Maths mastery curriculum and English curriculum/creative curriculum
supporting, holding accountable, developing and leading a team of TA's to secure high quality support across the school
leading on SEND systems across the school, maintaining the SEND register, completing EHCP/HNBF applications and liaising with parents/carers to ensure support is in place for children
taking the lead on behaviour and attendance across the academy
working with pupils with SEND, those receiving PP, EAL or LAC to best support their needs in school
working as part of a team to ensure pupils make rapid progress
proactively and professionally upholding the values and high expectations of the School
being a member of the leadership team and making a significant contribution to the strategic development and direction of the school
About you
The successful candidate will:
be driven and enthusiastic about ensuring all pupils achieve at least age related expectations
be an excellent classroom teacher with a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
have a proven track record in raising standards (adding value) as a classroom teacher or senior leader
be a qualified SENDCO willing to be the named SENDCO at the school
be a DSL or willing to train to be a DSL (desirable)
be committed to the journey of the School and work with all parents, staff, pupils and governors
be positive, adaptable and excited by the challenges of a growing school
