As part of the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school, supporting high-quality teaching and learning, and promoting an inclusive and aspirational culture where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong and visible leadership across the school, supporting the Headteacher in delivering the school's vision and improvement priorities.
Lead on specific whole-school areas such as teaching and learning, behaviour and attitudes, curriculum development, or inclusion (depending on experience and school need).
Support and line manage staff to deliver outstanding teaching and pastoral care.
Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates achievement and supports student wellbeing.
Use data and evidence to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective strategies for progress.
Foster strong relationships with parents, governors, and the wider community.
Contribute to staff development and lead professional learning initiatives.
Requirements
Proven success as a middle or senior leader in a school setting.
A track record of improving outcomes for students.
Strong understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to inspire, motivate, and hold others to account.
A passion for continuous school improvement and a commitment to raising standards.
