Job Description

Following recent promotions, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior HR Advisor to be based full time at our support centre in Speke.





You will join an energetic team, responsible for working with both retail colleagues and managers in 750 stores nationwide, providing generalist HR telephone advice for a high-volume case load.


We are looking for a model of best practise who can focus on de-escalating any HR issue to mitigate the need for a formal process. This role will act as the point of escalation for the Shared Service Advisors as well as be well as being the main point of contact for line managers.


The day to day role will:




Advise, support, and guide on all aspects of the colleague life cycle including employee relations, employment law, contracts, disciplinary, grievances, sickness, absence, and performance management Coach and develop a team of Shared Service Advisors in their day-to-day activities in a fast-paced working environment Be able to offer advice via telephone rather than in person Balance multiple priorities ensuring a smooth solution to any ER cases

To be successful, you'll have:




Experience in a Senior HR Advisor role, managing a high volume of requests Worked within a commercial setting which places emphasis on a pragmatic approach to finding solutions Up to date working knowledge of employment legislation and be able to practically apply HR best practice The ability to multi-task in a fast paced, reactive environment with multiple stakeholders at any one time Strong Microsoft Office skills, confident using in house tracking and reporting systems A friendly, supportive, and empathetic approach, but equally, a willingness to challenge or question, when necessary, while making informed, fact-driven decisions. Ability to identify and action improvements to current processes and policies to increase efficiencies
