Job Description

A fantastic opportunity JUNIOR IMPORT MERCHANDISER to join our clothing business. We supply nightwear and leisurewear to high street retailer and supermarkets including Tesco, Next, Dunnes, john Lewis you will be an important addition to the working with in a fast pace environment. They will supports the sales and merchandising teams in managing the end-to-end import process for clothing ranges. The role focuses on ensuring garments are produced, shipped, and delivered on time, within budget, and in line with brand, quality, and compliance standards.

This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build a career in fashion merchandising, garment production, or international supply chain management. The role provides hands-on exposure to critical path management, overseas supplier communication, and the commercial aspects of clothing retail.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately input and maintain product, order, and delivery data on merchandising or PLM systems support the placement, maintenance, and tracking of purchase orders for imported clothing Ensure accuracy of style numbers, colourways, size ratios, quantities, costs, and delivery dates Maintain and update critical paths across all styles, identifying and escalating potential delays Track shipments from factory to warehouse, supporting the resolution of delivery or production issues Liaise with overseas factories, agents, to obtain production and shipping updates

Clothing Production & Sample Management



Assist with coordinating garment samples, including fit samples, size sets, lab dips, strike-offs, and pre-production samples Track sample approvals and ensure timely sign-off to meet production deadlines Check and approve care labels, swing tickets, barcodes, and country of origin requirements Organise and maintain style files, order documentation, and supplier records Support preparation of weekly critical path updates

Skills & Competencies



Essential



Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines Strong numerical and data accuracy skills Confident user of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications Strong interest in fashion, clothing production, and merchandising

Desirable



Previous experience in fashion merchandising, buying admin, or supply chain support Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics, or clothing production processes Experience using PLM, ERP, or merchandising systems Familiarity with seasonal fashion calendars and critical paths

Qualifications & Experience



Educated to A-level standard or equivalent Degree or qualification in Fashion, Textiles, Business, or Supply Chain desirable but not essential Suitable for graduates or candidates with 0-2 years' relevant experience

Pay: 24,420.00-26,500.00 per year
