12 Month Fixed Term Contract with potential of Permanent

Location:

London - Hybrid role with 60% office attendance

1 Monday & 1 Friday in office per month mandatory

Salary:

41,000 - 48,000 per annum

About the Role:

As an Assistant Investment Accountant with PoolRE, you will provide operational support to the Investment Accounting team, ensuring the smooth execution of daily investment-related activities including inbox management, portfolio administration, payment processing and compliance monitoring.



In this position you will also support and provide cover for the senior accountant with a development pathway into month-end accounting responsibilities.

Role responsibilities:

Investment Accounting Inbox - Manage the shared investment inbox by organising daily emails, saving relevant files, and liaising with internal team members and external stakeholders. Investment Portfolio Administration - Coordinate documentation such as KYC and investment manager records, process trade instructions, manage cash inflows and outflows from the investment fund, and monitor account balances. Investment Payments - Prepare venture capital and other investment-related payments, including rebalancing instructions, ensuring accuracy and timely execution. Withholding Tax - Oversee withholding tax processes on foreign-source investment income, including reviewing and completing outstanding documentation and maintaining accurate records. Compliance Monitoring - Support the investment accounting team in monitoring fund compliance by reviewing daily reports and working with custodians and investment managers to resolve any issues. Additional Responsibilities - Provide assistance to the wider Finance team on ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

What we are looking for in you:

Skills/Competencies:

Organised and able to meet tight deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong communication skills - ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders at all levels effectively

Experience:

2+ Years professional experience in a finance-related role Experience of Investment Operations desirable Prior experience in financial services advantageous Prior experience with withholding tax and KYC forms advantageous

Qualifications:

Part-qualified Accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or working towards qualifications essential
