Responsibilities
Assist the head chef and others in food preparation and cooking
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
Collaborate with team members to create innovative dishes
Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies
Support the development of new menu items
Ensure timely service during peak hours
Foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as an assistant chef or similar role
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking
Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
Experience in menu planning is a plus.
