We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and production, along with strong leadership abilities to assist in managing kitchen operations. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of culinary excellence while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in the overall management of kitchen operations, including food preparation and production. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help in the development of new dishes, contributing creative ideas to enhance the menu offerings. Ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency in every dish served.

Skills



Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills, with a solid understanding of various cooking methods. Strong leadership abilities, capable of motivating and supervising a diverse team within a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within a restaurant setting. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.

Pay: 14.50-16.00 per hour
