Grade/Salary: Grade 7: 38,784 - 43,482 pro rata (with possible progression to 48,822). Starting salary would be dependent on experience.

The Division of Media, Communication and Performing Arts (MCPA) seeks to appoint an Assistant Lecturer in Arts Management and Cultural Policy. The primary purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with an established team of academics to deliver primarily postgraduate courses, with a focus on MA Arts, Festival and Cultural Management.
QMU has a long track record of delivering industry-relevant Arts degrees. Joining an established team of academics, you would contribute to the delivery of existing modules from QMU's well-established courses to provide students with a practical, broad and employable skill set.
The successful candidate will combine academic knowledge with up-to-date industry-relevant skills in the broad area of Arts Management, with a focus on teaching Cultural Projects and Qualitative Research methods.
Applicants should hold a PhD in the relevant subject area.
While applicants would require understanding of the wider field of cultural studies, they would be expected to provide the Division with specific knowledge and expertise regarding research methodologies (including practice research) at postgraduate level.
The post holder would primarily focus on delivering existing degree programmes and in addition, they may be required to contribute towards developing new modules related to their knowledge and expertise.
