Due to continuous improvement within our business we are now looking to add an intelligent and ambitious Assistant Management Accountant into our team at our Bradford head office.

The Person:

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be focused on the details and ensuring their analysis is both extensive and accurate. The ability to take a considered approach to problems and propose well though out and investigated solutions is a key part of the role.

Someone is interested in their own development and progression will fit well in the company culture. Confidence and excellent communication skills are essential as you will work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the business in a manner to develop business partnering skills. A solid background in excel is a must and the ability to use excel to help make processes more efficient is encouraged.

The Role:

Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts Accurately prepare and record all journal entries for all relevant entities. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, documenting reconciling items and ensuring all differences are identified, investigated, and resolved promptly. Prepare VAT returns Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. Provide support for the year-end audit and statutory account preparation. Support the Finance Controller and Management Accountant with ad hoc projects and process improvements where necessary. Support stock reporting Providing adequate cover over the finance team where required Any other ad-hoc tasks as requested. Site based due to work required within departments, no hybrid or home based working can be considered the role will pay 30k to 33k as a basic, with additional benefits such as company health plan.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS:

Part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA, ACA) or AAT complete Relevant experience in a similar role Strong technical, analytic, and reporting skills Excellent IT skills (advanced knowledge of Excel essential) Accurate and attention to detail Able to meet deadlines. Technically strong Inquisitive and a finisher
