As an Assistant Management Accountant you will support the Corporate Business Services Record to Report (R2R) Manager and colleagues in the R2R team and wider Finance Centre of Excellence and Corporate Finance teams. You will be be responsible and accountable for contributing to the production of accurate and timely management accounts and the integrity of the balance sheet accounting.

Your role as Assistant Management Accountant

• Production of the monthly accounts for the respective cost centres and balance sheet areas and highlighting where there are ares of concern
• Ensure all transactions are checked and highlighted for variances against budget
• Ensure that all journals are well documented and understood before posting
• Management of the respective balance sheet accounts and cost centres and identifying and correcting any anomalies in the accounts
• Working with the auditors and finance teams to ensure we are audit-compliant
• Identify areas of continual improvement, especially around process automation and reporting standardisation that can save time and improve awareness

Qualifications

• Ability to understand basic/intermediate accounting principles
• Excel and IT literate
• Come from some accounting background either within a shared services function or a finance function
• Medium / Large company experience
• AAT Finalist / Trainee Accountant
• Strong maths and English grades
