The Role:

Baylis (Gloucester) Limited currently have an great opportunity for someone to join an successful accounts team. We are searching for an Assistant Accountant to support the team in Cheltenham.

To fit this business, a suitable Assistant Accountant must have a productive and efficient attitude, as well as thorough automotive accounts experience.

We are searching for someone who has excellent business awareness, as well as having the will and ability to work within a team environment.

Role and Responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant:

Assist with month end process including aspects of the Management Accounts.

Strong attention to detail and comfortable being hands on and supporting the team.

Assist with all aspects of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.

Reconciling accounts/statements (both supplier and nominal).

Cashiering duties.

Responsibility for reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts.

Compile and submit manufacture composites.

Assist with external auditors .

Requirements:

AAT qualified.

Good Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience within a motor trade business.

Previous use of automotive systems e.g. Kerridge, CDK, Keyloop are ideal but not essential.

The Package:

Salary: Up to 30,000 per annum.
