JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:



An Assistant Management Accountant is an essential position in a company's accounting department. The accounting team is responsible for maintaining an efficient, organised and accurate finance function for the business and the Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for a variety of day-to-day financial operations assistant the management accountant in their duties. The role will involve helping to prepare management accounts, overseeing month end accounting process, and analysing financial data.

RELATIONSHIPS:





a) Responsible to: Finance Director / Management Accountant



b) Responsible for: None



c) Liaison with: Directors, Managers, Employees, Clients, Suppliers

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



MAIN TASKS OF JOB:



Daily Bank Reconciliations Assist in producing financial statements including departmental profit and loss accounts, monthly management accounts and reconciliations. Assist in calculation and reconciliation of accruals and prepayments. Ensure fixed asset registers are kept up to date Chase managers for invoice approval to allow timely recharges to be carried out as per month end deadlines Perform intercompany recharges Assist with ONS surveys Calculate plant programme and import journal Assist in calculation, presentation and payment of VAT and Aggregate Levy Assist on compiling and reconciling both fixed assets and Hire Purchase. Assist in the purchase and sales ledger department. EE/Vodafone phone management Training of other team members when required

To comply with the company's Factory Production Control Manual in support of SRC Quality Objectives

To act in accordance with the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately To perform duties as directed by Manager.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:



Trainee Accountant with minimum 3 years' experience Proven technical ability. Experience in the Construction Industry beneficial Excellent excel skills. Knowledge of SAGE 200 Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management.
