The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in producing accurate and timely management information that supports decision-making across the Group. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will support the preparation of monthly management accounts, provide financial analysis, and work with operational managers to ensure information is clear, relevant, and actionable.

Role responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the production and review of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analysing management information to highlight key performance drivers, risks, and operational issues.
  • Working with operational managers to ensure financial information supports effective decision-making.
  • Assisting in the production and submission of manufacturer composite accounts.
  • Supporting the control and accuracy of accounting for prepayments and accruals.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for stakeholder queries and analysis within assigned areas.
  • Collaborating with Finance Business Partners to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements.
  • Promoting Hendy Group's values and ensuring compliance with group policies and procedures.

About You:
  • Part-qualified, studying towards, or with ambition to pursue a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence in handling financial data.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insight.
  • Effective communication skills to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in management accounts or financial reporting is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience in the automotive or multi-site retail industry would be an advantage.
