About this Role
We're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team in Milton Keynes, focusing on our substantial fixed asset base in the Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer division. This role is all about control, analysis, and owning the numbers behind 377m in fixed assets.
Take ownership of the fixed asset lifecycle from purchase to disposal
Partner with our Fleet Procurement team to report and manage WIP
Maintain the integrity of our asset register and depreciation tracking
Manage RFL accounting, capital accruals, and quarterly VAT support
Get involved in process improvement across financial operations
About You
You're part-qualified (ACCA or CIMA), numbers-focused, and ready to grow your career in a hands-on, asset-heavy environment. You'll have a natural eye for detail and confidence when talking with people across the business.
Experience in a finance team, ideally within fixed assets or journal posting
Confident using Excel and working with large datasets
A strong grasp of double-entry accounting
Keen to take ownership and work proactively
Must be able to drive and be commutable to Milton Keynes
